Childline is celebrating Pride!

Childline counsellors from across the country are coming together virtually to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride, and to remind young people that Childline is here to support them!

Pride is the celebration of all LGBTQ+ people, young and old. But COVID-19 has meant that lots of events have been cancelled this year.

Even though we couldn’t go to Pride, our counsellors are getting together virtually to celebrate all things LGBTQ+ and learn more about how to support the LGBTQ+ young people who talk to us every day.

If you’re upset about missing Pride, there are still lots of things you can do:

  • if it’s safe to, have a mini-celebration outside with your friends
  • share what you’re proud about on the message boards
  • use the Art box to create an image to celebrating Pride – Create an account before you start to share it in the image gallery
  • learn more about LGBTQ+ history.

We know not everyone feels able to celebrate Pride. Remember that whatever’s happening in your life, Childline’s here to support you.
