Starting a new school
There can be lots to remember when you start a new school. You might be thinking about other people, the work or what to bring.
There are small things you can do to make things easier, and remember that you can always talk to us.
- Plan for the first day
Start to set an alarm before you start at school to help you get used to waking up in the morning, and pack your bag the day before so you’re ready. - Ask questions
Lots of people get lost when they first start at a school. It’s always okay to ask for directions of where you need to go, remember that you’ll get used to it in time. - Making friends
School can feel scary when you don’t know anyone, or if you’re in a class with new people. Use our top tips for making friends to help you get started. - Give it time
