Message boards aren’t available at the moment
From 8th April, you won’t be able to use the message boards while we review how they work and how we can support you in the future.
What's happening
Why aren’t the boards available?
At Childline, we want to make sure that the boards are safe and supportive for everyone who use them. Lots of young people use the boards for support, and we know that some of these topics can be hard to read about.
We want to make sure that the boards can keep being a supportive place in the future, but that also means ensuring that we’re able to let young people talk about difficult topics without it feeling triggering or distressing. Because of that, we’ve made the decision to pause access to the boards while we review how we can best support you.
Will they open again in the future?
We are reviewing the boards at the moment. We can't say exactly what will happen yet, but we will keep you informed of any decision we make. No matter what, Childline will keep on being here to support any child or young person.
What should I do if I have any questions?
If you have any questions about what’s happened, or you want to talk, you can speak to a Childline counsellor any time. You can come on for a 1-2-1 chat, send a message, or call for free on 0800 1111.
There are lots of ways you can use Childline for support in the future. Here’s some things you can do right now:
