Hi there,
Childline work with young people up until their 19th birthday, so you won’t need to stop using us after you turn 18. Even when you turn 19, there’s still other support available.
It’s great to start thinking about where to get support after you move on from Childline. There are lots of different kinds of services, so it’s good to think about what’s right for you:
There are lots of other services as well. Our page on support when you’re over 18 has a few other options.
For ongoing support, visiting your doctor is the best option. A local doctor will have information of what is available in your area and how to access it. Even though there can be a waiting list, services offered by the NHS are free.
While you’re in education, you can also talk to student support or a trusted teacher. Lots of colleges or universities will have support in place or can give you advice on where you can go.
If you’re worried about what you can talk about with another service, it’s a good idea to ask about their confidentiality policy. That way you can feel confident in what you share.
Take care,
Sam

You can ask me about anything you want, there's nothing too big or small. I read every single letter but I can only answer a few each week. My replies are published here on my page.
