Bounce back from bullying

You answered: Sometimes

Try talking to a friend you trust when you're alone with them. They might act differently on their own. Explain how the bullying or jokes make you feel without blaming them. You could ask them to not join in if it happens again.

You could also try different ways of being assertive. Being assertive means saying how you feel without being rude or pushy. It can help to think about what you'd like to say, build your confidence, and pick the right time to say it. Put your shoulders back, stand up straight and make good eye contact with the person you're speaking to.
