From 11 May, you can speak to a counsellor by 1-2-1 chat on:
- Mondays to Fridays, 7.30am - midnight
- Saturdays to Sundays, 9am - midnight
You can call us on 0800 1111 at these times:
- Mondays to Fridays, 7.30am - 3.30am
- Saturdays to Sundays, 9am - 3.30am
Our counsellors won’t be available after 3.30am, but you can send an email using your Childline account any time and you’ll usually get a reply within 24 hours. In an emergency, you should always call 999.
Talking on the phone can be hard sometimes, especially when you’re used to talking online. But we’ve got advice to help if you’re scared. You can also get support from other young people on the message boards.
If you join the queue for a chat before midnight, you’ll still be answered by a counsellor. And even though 1-2-1 chat isn’t available on the app right now, you can still use your Childline account to talk using our website.
Everyone at Childline is working hard to make sure we can be here for you, especially during the pandemic. And we’re doing everything we can to make sure we can stay open whenever you need us.
