Hi there,
There might be lots of reasons you’re feeling this way after kissing someone. You’ve not done anything wrong by feeling sick or like you regret it.
It’s important to remember that consent isn’t something you only give once. It’s always okay to consent to something, change your mind, and to stop. Nobody should ever pressure or force you to continue with something when you don’t want to.
It can help to think a little about what led to you feeling this way. It might be something about how you’re feeling physically, the kiss itself, or even the other person. Talking about it with an adult you trust and feel safe with can help you make sense of what happened. You could even speak to a counsellor at Childline about it.
Sometimes something just isn’t right for you. If you’re in a healthy relationship, it can help to think about ways of sharing how you feel with your partner. It might be that you want more time, or that this isn’t something you enjoy.
Lastly, there can be times when someone pushes us to say yes to something we don’t want. Consent is all about agreeing to something freely and when you understand what’s happening. If you’re not sure about whether or not someone is consenting, we’ve got advice to help.
Take care,
Sam

You can ask me about anything you want, there's nothing too big or small. I read every single letter but I can only answer a few each week. My replies are published here on my page.
