my new friend is spending more time with my enemy.
i have this friend who was new to school who was very cose to me but after a few weeks she started spending less time with me and more time with the populer girls in my class now she does not even speak to me that much and now she is bit rude to me sometimes. i dont even feel comfertoble around her that much.

It can be really hard when you have a close friend but it feels like your relationship is changing and youre drifting apart.
Friends should be people who you can have fun with and who are supportive. Friends shouldnt bully you or make you feel down. Friendships can have their ups and downs and sometimes talking about how youre feeling when it seems to be going through a difficult patch can help.
Maybe take some time to think about what you feel is a good friend and whether this friend is someone who matches up to that or not. This might help you to decide whether youd like to continue trying to be friends and whether you have other people in your life who are perhaps better friends.
If it starts to feel like youre being bullied then it can help to have a think about whether there are any adults you trust that you could talk to about whats happening. You may also like to take a look at the friends and bullying pages for some more information and ideas.
When you make a lot of effort with someone and it doesnt feel like theyre doing the same in return it can feel really disappointing. But remember its always a kind thing to try and make new people feel welcome at school.
