Hi there,
Its natural to feel scared or nervous when exam time is close by. It can be a really stressful time. Its good youre making sure youre on top of your revision but its also important to take time to relax to help you to manage your stress.
Sometimes it can feel really tough to think positively when you're facing a big challenge like GCSEs, SATs or A-levels. But being organised about your revision time and relaxation time might help you to feel positive and less overwhelmed.
Knowing that people have high expectations of you can be a lot of pressure. For some people feeling pressured might mean they will perform at their best but for others it can be hard to cope with. Using distractions like watching a favourite film, going out for a walk or doing something you enjoy can help to relieve some pressure.
You might like to think about talking to a teacher or parent to let them know how the pressure is making you feel. And you could join other young people on the message boards who might be able to support you with finding other ways to cope.
The counsellors are always there to listen and support you if you'd like to talk more about this, or anything else thats on your mind.
Take care,
Sam
