There are a few options for support and housing and you are likely to get extra help as a young person who is pregnant.
Pregnancy and having a child can be a very overwhelming time and the support you have is important. Where you live and how you feel are important aspects of preparing to be a new mum. If something like housing needs to change it would be good to look into this before the baby arrives, as later on things may be harder.
Your health visitor will be able to advise and let you know the options you have, should you decide not to stay where you are. Your local council and social services are also the right people to go to for support. You can get advice for things like benefits from Citizens Advice too.
Pregnancy can be isolating so keeping in touch with friends or extended family in your life can really help. Perhaps find out about groups in your area you can join. Things outside of home and meeting people can help you decide what’s best for you and your baby.
It’s important to take time to think about what you want from your relationship, is it a healthy one where you are treated with the respect you deserve and if not, can you see that changing?
