We know that there has been a lot to cope with since March last year and everything that Coronavirus has brought with it. Childline has had to make changes too and unfortunately, more changes again need to be made to make sure we can support you all and keep staff and volunteers safe.
Just now, the counsellors will be there for you from 9am until 3:30 am. And from Monday 18th, they will be there to call from 9 am - 3:30 am, but you won’t be able to join the chat queue after 10:30 pm to make sure everyone waiting can be answered. And chat is still not available at any time on the app.
You can still send an email from your Childline account at any time and they’ll usually get back to you within 24 hours.
And the boards are always here too – we will keep accepting your posts from 9 am until 11:30 pm each day, so you can keep supporting each other with anything at all. And you can all share your tips for how to cope when things keep changing.
We know this will be a difficult thing for a lot of you to hear but Childline is still here and we’re doing everything we can to make sure we stay open to be there for you.
