Okay so these are my first five poems I've written down and shared... Hope you like them, please say what was good about them and give constructive criticism :)
You may think I'm ignorant
You may think I'm cowardly
You may think I'm unkind
You may think I'm boring
But as a wise person once said
A person isn't what they are on the outside
They're what they are on the inside
And that's the reason they say
Don't judge a book by it's cover
That's true for me and you
And everyone else
~Poem One
People look in the looking glass
But isn't that what Alice did?
She didn't see her true self
So why should you?
Some look in the mirror and think they're ugly
Others see themselves and call themself pretty
But you only see your outside
When that doesn't matter
It's who you are on the inside that matters
So don't look in the mirror and judge yourself on looks
Because really, it's worthless
While I guarantee only 3% will not look in the mirror
I wish everyone the best
~Poem 2
The world around myself
And everyone else
Is covered in darkness
But that's not going to stop me
The lockdowns we've had
The lonely times
The masks we wear
Social distancing from friends
I know you can relate
But it's for the greater good
So do your duty
In the community
And follow the motto
Hands, Face, Space
~Poem 3
Rolling, grumbling thunder
Striking, bright lightning
Rushing, loud winds
Pouring, icy rain
Inside, outside, both
We think we should stay at home
But that was during 2019
But in 2020
If you can go out, count yourself lucky
Because this wasn't allowed
During lockdown 2020
Who'd have ever thought we wouldn't be allowed out?
We've all learnt an important lesson
Don't take anything for granted.
~ Poem 4
You and your gang
You think you're everything
But you don't own everyone
Nor does anyone own you.
