I know of a fragile pane of glass,

    That shimmered in the sun,

    But words cracked it.

I know of a delicate piece of silk,

    That danced in the wind,

    But whispers tore it.

I know of a shy, quiet melody,

    That sang with the storms,

    But rumours silenced it.

I know of a small, faraway star,

    That dreamed of dawn,

    But murmurs extinquished it.

    I know of a girl,

    Who shimmered in the sun

    And danced in the wind

    And sang with the storms

    And dreamed of dawn.

    But the voices,

The voices that cracked the glass

    Tore the silk

    Silenced the melody

    Extinquished the star

The voices spoke about the girl

    And the voices broke her.
