Hi there,

Being worried about things like a terror attack can have a big effect on you. It’s good to talk about these worries as lots of young people have been feeling this way as well.

Terrorism is something that is on the news a lot. It can be natural to feel scared when you’re hearing about it all the time. It’s important to remember that terrorist attacks are actually very rare. And a lot of people are working hard to keep you safe.

When things start worrying you too much it can affect your daily life. It can make you feel anxious or even affect your sleep. But there are lots of things that can help, including sharing how you are feeling with someone.

Bottling things up can sometimes make things feel worse, but it can help to share how you feel with someone like an adult you can trust.

If you’re not ready to talk to someone you know, you can also come and talk to one of our counsellors who are here to listen and support you. You can also post on the message boards to get advice from other young people.

Take care,

Sam
