Hi there,
Firstly, I would suggest that you try and ignore any negative or mean comments from other people that are leaving you feeling low and depressed. If you dont feel able to ignore them, try talking to someone like a teacher, school counsellor or nurse who could help you to make it stop.
Talking to someone about how you are feeling and doing something positive to make yourself feel better can also help the situation. For example, if you want to change your body shape then your doctor can help you find a healthy eating and exercise plan that will help you do this safely.
There are other things too that you could do to feel better about yourself, such as not comparing yourself to other people. Everyone is different. It can also be helpful to find something you do like about yourself. Once you have found one thing you like you are more likely to find other things, which will help build confidence and self-esteem.
You mention feeling depressed and low as a result of what's happening. Everyone can experience these feelings at times when things get a little difficult. If you decide to talk to your doctor about staying healthy, perhaps you could also mention to them that you have been feeling depressed.
You have been very brave writing to me to talk about how you feel and I hope that you get the help and support that you need and deserve. Remember you can always talk in confidence to a ChildLine counsellor. You can call on 0800 1111, send an email or log on for a 1-2-1 chat.
Take care,
Sam

You can ask me about anything you want, there's nothing too big or small. I read every single letter but I can only answer a few each week. My replies are published here on my page.
