It sounds like Christmas isnt an easy time for you, you arent alone with this, Christmas can be a really difficult time for a lot of people, especially when different family members cant be there. From your letter Im not sure if your dad has passed away or whether he is no longer living at home, if you wanted to you would be very welcome to come and talk about this with Childline.
It may be that your mum and sister could relate to how you are feeling, and maybe they even feel the same way, perhaps you could think about talking to them and you could support each other. If you dont feel comfortable talking with them you might find it helpful to talk to someone outside the situation, like a friend or a teacher at school. Another idea is to try writing your dad a letter saying how you feel, even though you cant give it to him it might be a way of releasing some of your feelings.
Childline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so were open Christmas day, if you start to feel sad you are always welcome to come and talk with a Childline counsellor, you can have a 1-2-1 chat or ring on 0800 1111. Other young people on the Childline website are also likely to be missing people over Christmas so you could try out the message board for support, you could even start your own thread like people we miss over Christmas sometimes knowing that youre not on your own can be comforting and you could share some memories.
