Hi there,
It can be really difficult when youre feeling left out. Especially if its by someone whos in the same class or friendship group.
No one has the right to make rude remarks about another person or make comments designed to make them feel down. This is bullying, and its not ok.
Bullying can leave you feeling anxious, depressed and lonely, but you dont have to go through this alone. Maybe have a think about whether there are any adults you trust to talk to about whats happening. If you do decide to, you could work out when would be a good time to catch up and what you might like to say.
All schools should have an anti-bullying policy. This says what they will do when bullying takes place to try to put a stop to it. If you dont know what your schools policy is, it could be something to ask about.
Perhaps you could also think about whether theres someone at home or a friend who you could tell. Even if you dont feel ready to talk to the school about it, sometimes it can help just to share how youre feeling with someone else and to get some support from them.
There is a thread on our message boards about bullying where you can get some support from other young people and find out more about their experiences and what they found helpful.
And remember you can always talk to a ChildLine counsellor.
Take care,
Sam

You can ask me about anything you want, there's nothing too big or small. I read every single letter but I can only answer a few each week. My replies are published here on my page.
