Hi and thanks for your letter.
It sounds like finding out you are pregnant is really hard for you, as you say you cant talk to your parents about it because they would be mad, embarrassed and would stop talking to you. Maybe you could think about talking to a friend who could support you.
I can hear that you have made the decision that an abortion would be the best thing for you as you want to concentrate on your A levels and your career. I dont think that sounds harsh, it sounds like you have thought about the impact that having a baby might have on your life and you have recognised that it isnt something you want to do right now, and thats ok.
You have asked where you can go to arrange an abortion and would like to know whether they will tell your parents. Its difficult to answer whether any services you contact would be confidential, but perhaps you could ask them before you discuss whats happening for you. Brook have lots of information and advice about pregnancy and sexual health. They would also be able to tell you about abortion services in your local area. They also have a free helpline which is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, their number is 0808 802 1234.
You might also like to take a look at the Pregnancy message boards where lots of young people have shared their thoughts and feelings about a number of issues. You can also contact ChildLine to talk about this with a counsellor on 0800 1111, or if you prefer you could have a 1-2-1 online chat or send an email. They will be happy to hear from you and want to help.
Take care,
Sam

You can ask me about anything you want, there's nothing too big or small. I read every single letter but I can only answer a few each week. My replies are published here on my page.
