Hi there,

Thank you for writing to me and letting me know how hard things are for you. It sounds like you are going through a really horrible time with bullying. I’m so pleased to hear from you.

From everything you've told me, I can really hear just how tough you are finding school at the moment. Bullying is always wrong and something you shouldn’t have to go through.

What’s happening is not your fault. If you feel like you could tell someone, it would be okay for you to tell an adult that you trust about what happens. One way to do this could be to write it down, just like you have done with me, and show it to a teacher you feel safe with at school.

Most schools have a guide saying what they will do to stop bullying – this is often called an anti-bullying policy.

Your feelings are important and you could also talk to someone else about what happens to you – this might be someone you live with or a good friend. ChildLine has some information about bullying that you might find helpful to read. You can also look at our message boards where other young people talk about bullying.

You’ve done really well to take that big and brave step to write to me, and I’m really pleased you did.

There is also always a ChildLine counsellor that you can talk to so that you don’t feel so alone with what is happening. You can talk to ChildLine by phone, online chat or email.

Take care and stay safe.

Sam
