I take it your convincing your mum? If so just explain to her about how much happier you would be. Then try telling her your responsible and have thought about it long and hard. Then tell her your not 5 years old and get it done anyway. Tip: to get it done properly and nicely get it done in a hairdressers you trust. It will def be more expensive than doing it yourself but mayybe you could get a discount? If your mum agrees then you could go halves and say its an early xmas pressie. And if you havent won your mum over then say your going to a freinds and grt it done then.

You are only 12, I don't want to patronise, but now, when I am nearly 16 I have only just started dying my hair (bright red)

but,... If yiu are allowed, get it done proffesionaly first. You may think this is expensive BUT, you can go to a salon for trainee hairdressers, it will be about half the price. You may think it's risky getting a trainee to do it, but some of them have very nearly graduated anyway, plus, a proffesionaly will always be on hand assisting them

    Good luck!
