    Help!!!

Hey, does anyone know what the signs are for eating disorder? Is there any early signs to be aware of?

Please reply, thanks for any help.

hey some early signs are: avoiding eating in public, making food for people but not eating it yourself, eating smaller portions, going to the toilet immediately after eating... things like that

    hope this helps x

Hi I think you need to talk to someone about how you feel and find out why youre feeling like this, maybe something has happened recently which makes you not want to eat. An adult would be best to talk to because they can help you more than a friend can.

Do you mind me asking which signs you are showing? x

Hey, yeah i think your probablly right about something happening, as i was sexually abuse (it stopped a year ago though) and alot has happened recently with people findin out, and i was suicidal and self harm.

For as long as i can remember i hated eating in public, even round at a friends house, i would only eat infront of my family, but recently i've noticed i try to even avoid that, and eat far smaller portions if my family make me eat something. But when they do i just feel so fat fat and greddy, and just feel sick even thinking about it. I sometimmes cook stuff for people, and don't eat it, but i don't cook that often. Also i tend to fill my self up with liquids, i don't know if thats another sign?

Thanks for your advice it's really helpful.

Hi no I havent told anyone because its my friend who thinks I do and ive been denying it to her and to myself which I know is the wrong thing to do. You dont need to be scared about telling someone because they will just talk to you about how you feel and try to sort things out. You could just say to the person you want to tell "hi I need to talk to you about something, I think I have an eating disorder because..." and then say the reasons you think you have one. yeah I'm alright... are you? x

Hey thanks again, i think i will try and tell someone, i just don't think i am ready yet,as i have just been put on anti-depressants today, so a bit shocked i suppose.
I am glad you are ok, hope you do get help if it turns out you have an eating disorder. Wish you all the best.

hey, all i've had all day is half an apple, and a small bowl of pasta. Is that bad? should i be worried?

hi well thats not very much to eat in a whole day so it is kind of bad because even though its healthy food youre not getting enough nutrients and vitamins which can lead to problems such as aneamia. I think there is something to be worried about but it can be sorted if you talk to someone x

hey, thanks again. I'm still kinda scared to talk to someone about it, so i am going to try and talk to a childline counsellor, and see whatt thhey say.

Hey, i spoke to a childeline counsellor, they recommened going to see my GP. But he only just put me on antidepressants last week and he asked me if i was eating ok, and i don't really want him to know i lied to him

Also i mentioned about filling myself up with liquids quite alot, and they said that it is dangerous. I didn't even realise.

But anyway i think i am going to try and mention it to my social worker to see what she says, cause last i needed to go see the GP she came with me and told him, and i just answered any questions.

Hope things are still ok for you at the minute? Take care and thanks again.
