    hey,

    you don't need to apologise:)

I was just wondering what is it thats making you sad? (don't worry about it if you don't want to tell me) Just it might be a good idea if you try look at this first then if that gets sorted you may not feel like you need to hurt yourself anymore.

Depending on the emotion you are getting when you do it there are different ways you can try and get past that urge. If you go onto the explore section on here and then selfharm there are some really great methods that you could try when you feel like you want or need to make your self bleed.

hope this helps a little xxx

aww it must be really hard for you when your parents argue & your brother having diabetes. I know people tend to tell other people this but it really isn't your fault& its not right that you have to see/hear your parents argue (that happens with my mam&step dad too, so your not alone).

Just because you go & talk to someone about how you feel doesn't make you ungreatful & your parents finding out must seem like a really scary thing to you. If your wanting to talk to someone that could be a great idea as you could get things of your chest without taking them out on yourself. I know frustration can be horrible. I think teachers may tell your parents but do you have a school counsellor? They wouldn't tell your parents I don't think but b4 you spoke to them you could ask what there confidentiality policy is? How old are you? (once again don't worry if you dont want to tell me) If all else fails remembers counsellors on here will listen to you anytime you need to talk & they will keep it confidential!

I'll listen anytime you need me :) xxx

    hey

Do you have a teacher that you like or trust? Perhaps if you do you could go and ask them if you could talk about some stuff thats going on at home? then if they say yes ask them if they would keep it confidential? However DON'T tell them that you hurt your self because they will tell your parents but you could if they said they would keep it confidential talk to them about your mam, dad & brother. If you talk about it you might just stop needing to injure your self.

Also is there not another family member you could talk to about what is bothering you? someone you trust maybe a friend that would listen to you?

I know what you mean about hiding your arms. I self harm as well and its really important that you get help before it gets any worse as ultimitly it won't actually solve any problems. (as I have learnt) Im now going to go and see CAMHS soon but my parents don't know about it. (im a little older than you, so im hoping it will stay that way)

Maybe have a think about talking to some of the people I suggested:) I hope you're okay & safe at home. Take care xxxx

    Hi,

recently I've been feeling really sad and started scratching myself -i think its the worse so far. I feel down. The exams are tough and I feel sad at the prospect of school finishing because I feel like I've achieved nothing and I need to pass all my exams to prove to myself that it all wasnt a waste of time becausen i havent got a lot of friends and other stuff thats too long to explain. (im yr 11 btw). I also have to go to the prom but im so scared because i don't have a dress and im scared that people will laugh at me or i'll spend the night alone. my friends said they will be there with me, but im still conviced something bad will happen.

    hey,

I just want to let you know how great it is that you have come on here to talk!:)

I'm actually concerned that you strach yourself just because I know it can start off very small like that but can easily progress. I understand that in the short tearm it may releave the stress etc that you are feeling but you have to understand that it will just keep coming back, so therefor isnt a solution.

What makes you feel like you must pass ALL of your exams in order to prove youself? If you are worried could you not talk to someone about the way you feel perhaps a parent or a teacher? Your only 11 you still have the rest of your life a head of you trust me I didnt do that great in my exams age 11 but I do have very good GCSE'S so it just goes to show that although you should try your best it isnt the end of the world if you dont pass everything, your best is all you can do and that is good enough!

Ahh I remember my prom I felt kinda the same as you but honestly relax and don't stress you will have an amazing night, just enjoy your self with your friends! Good luck finding a dress just go with what you feel nice in, im sure you will look great. Also I dont think it matters that you dont have tuns of friends your only 11 and when you go to secondary school you will meet lots of new people (if you are there maybe join a new club or something a chance to talk to new people)

If you feel you need to hurt yourself you can always come on here and talk to a counsellor on 121 hope this helps, take care xxx

omg no sorry that was totally my fault I read that one wrong!

Oh so its your GCSE's that your doing then, honestly still just try you're best thats all you can do! Just do plently of revision and it doesn't matter if you don't pass every single one, you never know you might even get a chance to resit something if you needed/wanted to. But thats something you would have to talk to the teachers about. Don't stress you're self out and have a postive attitude, please don't mark you're body though its really not worth it (I regret it soo sooo much and its getting much harder to hide from people) Look on the self harm section on here childline have some tips on how to distract yourself. Also talk to someone about the way you feel might help:)

Oh and year 11 prom is THE best, honestly you will have the most amzing time, don't worry about the future just see it as an adventure and make sure you stay in contact with all you're friends!:)

Sorry again for reading that one wrong x

Hi I'm having the same kind of feelings as J at the moment....it's been happening since I started th school year. My work has been going down hill, I'm having problems with my boyfriend, I'm really worried about money at the moment and all of these problems are being made worse by my parents who seem to have a go at me everytime they get a chance. Today has been the worse day and I decided to start scratching my arms again (I have done this once before) to cope with it.

I really don't know what to do as I usually turn to my family for support but they are the cause of my feelings. I'm feeling really alone at the moment and I just don't know what to do...

You don't need to answer I just saw the other messages and it sounded like what I'm going through kind of

    Thanks AJ x

    Hi AJ

You know you're family may not realise that the way they are talking/having a go at you is effecting you so much. They love you so no doubt just want the best for you and for you to be happy. Perhaps you could still try explaining to them the how them talking to you this way is making you feel and this might help them understand you more and they might stop, but also you might understand where they are coming from a little more as well x
