how do you feel about homework

some people think that homework is just not fair but my opinion is that homework gives you a chance to see what you can do. Also there's always a chance of doing something great. On the other hand you could be doing an activity, like fencing, singing, dancing or anything. Istead you do schoolwork after schoolwork.

    What do yo think?

I like the idea of homework because it helps you to understand what you're doing the majority of times. It's especially when you have a test or exam coming up, it's like revision but sometimes isn't. I'm not bothered about the fact that you could be doing other things, without being funny, everyone else gets homework too so you're more than capable of doing your homework with your friends so you're still socialising whilst doing your homework.

Homework becomes the easiest way to get to know other people I reckon because you always get asked or are the one asking if people have done their homework. You get to know how that person does stuff and by asking or being asked, you start to become friends with them etc.

Sorry! I HATE it! School takes 7 hours out of my life each day- there I shall learn and do my school work. WHY should I have to do MORE work at HOME! I think that once every 1/2 weeks is ok, otherwise- homework is a waste of time!

At my school, we have pointless homeworks, this may be why I hate it

There are times when I feel overwhelmed by homework; a while back I had 11 essays in the same week.

That said, having done some 'controlled assessments' I can say that I much prefer doing coursework at home.

I do think homework is good to a reasonable extent but the amount of homework I get I think is too much, 4-5 pieces a day. But it taught me tomanage everything efficiently so i am prepared for gcse.

btw; does anyone else get 2 tests a week in languaguages

I love homework, if it's too easy, then great :D, but if it isn't, just as well, it helps me learn, it's a challenge, something, we have to grow up to learn x

I am a teenage girl, so I obviously complain about homework.
But, to be honest, I completely understand why it is given. It gives us a chance to do work independantly, to properly concentrate on what we are writing, etc. etc. It also means we get a real feel for what we are good at, and not so good at.
It shows us, and the teachers, that we can do stuff without their help, if you know what I mean.

Also, I do tend to just like most of the homework I am given. I guess it depends on the school and teachers as well. . .

Homework for me is okay. Of course my friends complain and groan when our teacher give us it, but a lot of the homework is creative and is fairly simple. We get maths homework everyday but there's only like 5 questions to answer and then you can get on with your day. Homework is to show what we can do and it can actually prepair us for when we leave school. I'm not really bothered by it.

I agree, 7 hours is quite along time :/ i dont mind homework like every other week, but not projects in the half-terms because its out break and we shouldn't still be doing work!!
