Too tall and i MEAN it

    heey

    i'm a girl, almost 14 and 5'7...

i'm so tall and i hate it SO much. when little kids walk by, they look up at me like i'm the tallest person ever. even yesterday these year 10's were like 'hey girraffe' as i was walking back and it just ruined my day..

i get called lanky sometimes and i just wish so so so so much i was short/average height

i'm also really skinny which makes me look even taller...

i've also never had a boyfriend... it's probably cos boys think i'm freakishly tall and urgh i hate my height so so much

i was wondering if anyone could help me/ help my self confidence..?

    thanks

That is not too tall. There are year 9s at my school who are 5ft 9 at least!

Heey! I'm in year nine, im a girl and i'm 5 ft 9. I'm tall and i hate it to, but i just put the negatives to the side and think about the positives. I'm the height you need to be to be a catwalk model! A job i've always dreamed to do:'] I also try and turn the negatives into positives, if someone says 'your lanky' i just think yes, but thats me, and i can't change that. People should respect you for who you are, also i have long legs which i get complimented for alot! Which is another positive for being tall. :')

    Hello,

I have just turned 13, and I'm already 5'9"!!! I like being tall in a way, I think it would be awful to be small, you couldn't see past people lol. Plus, like emmiees said, long legs often get compliments!

Hey, Im 14 and i'm 5ft8, i know exactly how you feel, but the min height for a model is the same height as me, just know that people will be jealous, im skinny like you and people have called me names aswell. Stand tall and remember slouching makes you look taller, try and be confident and people will leave you alone! Hope this helps xx

Im 12 and im in year 7 going into year 8. Im a girl.

Im 5" 6' (im very tall for my age!)

One main good about being tall is in P.E when you need some sort of a defender, in benchball, netball, basketball etc. You are usually picked first, cos this is what happens to me anyway.

Don't worry about being tall, you're you and nothing can change that. Just imagine, (like the others say) if you were smaller, it would be sooooo odd.

Remeber: You're you and take pride in youself inside and out. :)

                                   hope this helped

I'm a 16 year old girl and I'm 5 foot 11. I used to be really self conscious of my height as I used to be taller than everyone in my year. It made me stick out and feel vulnerable at times. But at your age, most people start to hit their growth spurts and they'll grow closer to your height, maybe even end up being taller than you. The kids who call you names are insecure and trying to make you feel bad about yourself so they'll feel better than you. I know it's easier said than done but try and ignore them. They're not worth listening to if they just want to put you down.

Hold your head up high and be proud of your height. Its what makes you special and if people can't accept that, they're not worth it. One day a guy is going to come along and care what's on the inside more than what's on the outside. Those types of guys are the ones you want to go out with.

    Stay strong

    xxx
