    Feeling lonely over summer

Hi, well I have really bad anxiety issues - I have GAD, panic disorder, OCD and social phobia which summer doesn't help. I feel really lonely because I need people to talk to over summer. I wonder if anyone else feels like this and how you deal with it? It's really hard because I feel really alone without having 2000 other people in the school with me!

I'm trying to deal with it by meeting up with friends, doing jobs for family/neighbours, but no matter how much I distract myself, it doesn't make the loneliness and emptiness I feel any better.

I don't really know how to help with this sorry, but I do have a few suggestions. Summer camp? Go out with friends more? Go to crowded places like the beach or city centres? There's lots of people there so it might feel like being in school

Hi Birdie! I actually have similar problems, but I find that my solutions include eaver trying not to get too roasted on the beach or how much time I can speand home alone (aka I avoid social contact). If you live in an interesting place, take a camera and go around - if you see interesting shop, take pictores of what you see, take pictures of the cowded streets, or if your arty like me, some inspirational photos or a micro close up on everyday things. At the end you would have had a great time and it might take your mind of stuff.
