    living in care bullyed

     

    is it just me or dose all us kids in care get bullyed.

    i get bullyed all the time and now i cant cope.

    can people give me advise on what to do

    Hi, Sounds like you really need someone to cheer you up. Have you tried talking to you're careworkers?? Or 1-2-1 Chat On Childline can also help. They are very understanding.

    Hai, I'm not in care but I may have some advice that might help you...:Just try and stand up to your self but don't be mean yourself. Oh and TELL AN ADULT! They coukd really help you. :)

    Is it other kids in care bullying or kids from school or whatever? Sometimes of best to ignore it unless its too bad, if its really upsetting you though you should tell someone but you probably have! 

    If its school you should tell a teacher and tell your care worker too. if its at home its best to tell the care worker even if nothing changes they know then. which is best. Sometimes it helps to shout back at the bullies or fight back but you have to be careful.

    tht must b horrible. im in care 2. ok, who is it tht bullies u?? other foster children in yr foster home, or the foster parents??? u should try talking 2 some1 about it. mayb yr social worker, or try the 1-2-1 chat on childline. tell me whos bullying u. and tell me how it goes. take care.

    u should try and have a word wid yr social worker about it. the people in yr foster home and in town have absoloutley no rite 2 bully u atall. its not fair on u. try telling some1 and tell me how it goes. u can contact childline. take care.xx

    i spoke to my social worker but dont worry about it

Using the keyboard instead of the mouse
As well as using the tab key to navigate through the screen, the ChildLine website has special access keys:

Alt+S = skip navigation
Alt+1 = home
Alt+0 = accessibility information.

Is the text size too large or too small?
You can change your text settings through your browser options:

In Internet Explorer, go to View > Text size and select your desired text size setting (eg, larger, smaller).

In Firefox, go to View > Text size and increase/decrease using Ctrl and + or -

If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse, you can hold down Ctrl and scroll back or forth to increase or decrease the font size in both IE and Firefox.

Changing your computer screen settings
To change the size of the image shown on your screen on a PC running Windows 95 and upwards, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings and change the desktop area by using the sliding bar.

On an Apple Mac, you can use the Monitor & Sound Control Panel to change the resolution.

Having difficulty with your keyboard or mouse?
You can fine-tune your mouse and keyboard settings under Start > Settings > Control Panel > Accessibility in Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and XP.

Skipping navigation for talking browsers and screen readers
For speech browsers, you can press Alt and S followed by Enter to skip navigation on our pages.

The site is W3C level AA compliant.

 

Help
