    OCD =(

    I keep doing these weird head movements and I always have to  look at something over and over again, and whenever a door, curtain, blind or window is open, I always have to close it.

    Is it OCD? My family didn't take me seriously when I asked to go to the doctor's because I had symptoms of OCD.

    What can I do now?

    Thanks

    Hi ,       Normally Obsessize compulsize disorder is a compulsion to complete something in your case (closing windows) . Maybe you should ask your mum to book an appointment with the doctors . I had a camhs assistant viste my Doctors . Ask your parent or carrer if you've always had obsessize compulsive disorder ; Most people are born with it .

    I also have that thing where I have to look at something over and over, but I hate have doors open, I have to set the volume on the TV to a certain level, I rewrite numbers and letters because i've written them in a way that annoys me, and I have to do certain stuff 4 times.

    Do I have OCD?

    I had a friend who thought she had ocd cos she kept on touching the ceiling as she went into another room. She got it checked out and she didn't have it. To be ocd it has to take up at least 1 hour of your day and be extremely troubling to you. If it is those, i would get it checked out.

    p.s. i'm not being disbelieving i promise!!! soz if it sounds like I am!

    I have OCD. And to be honest if it doesn't cause you problems (like people who wash their hands so much they bleed), it's not much to worry about.

    Like I have the places I sit, there are certain ways things must be done (my 16 wristbands have to go in the right order, chairs of the same colour have to be stacked together, and Smarties are eaten according to what colour they are and how many of the colour, doors and curtains should be shut (especially bad at home), and if my Mum tidies up I will spend Hours puting it right.

    But it doesn't inhibit daily life too much so it isn't too big a problem.

    I would advise seeing a doctor though because my Doctor thinks mine is because of clinical depression so he is reffering me to a CAHMS psychiatrist (appointment New Year's Eve). Maybe you could speak to a teacher, school nurse, friend's parent, Grandparent, family friend, Aunt, Uncle, Scout Leader, Guide Leader etc.?
