Is God against those who are left-handed?

    Hey guys

Now I'm not too much of a religious person but this is something that I'm concerned about. I'm a left-handed person. I draw, write and use most stuff with my left hand. However, I've heard from some religious people that being left-handed means being associated with the Devil or having black magic, and it's gotten me worried.

It also seems that left-handed people receive alot of prejuduice thrown at them since most of the population are right-handed. Schools force left-handed students to write with their right hand, art schools don't allow those who are left-handed, most common tools are mainly designed for right-handed people. Left-handers are to right-handers is like how homosexuals are to heterosexuals. Sorry for the comparsions but it just seems similiar.

I'm worried. Again, not too religious, but do left-handed people go to Hell? I hope not.  Please help, I'm a little scared..

That's a silly theory! You will not go to Hell, unless you are a bad person who does not feel sorry for their sins!

    Hey Mark,

Gee, I hope not because I'm also left-handed!  I really don't think that He would be because it's just the result of a tiny little variation in a tiny little gene that is totally not our fault.  I mean, why would God make us this way just to get angry at us?

In the olden days, people used to think that left-handed people were evil because it was a minority, like being racist or sexist or homophobic.  Centuries ago, the catholic church said that lefties were servants of the devil.

But if, now adays, someone discriminates against you because you are left-handed, then they are in the wrong so I don't know why God would do anything wrong...

If left-handed people go to Hell, then Pope Benedict XVI would be in Hell, which really doesn't make any sense at all.

I hope this was helpful...  You really shouldn't be worried about going to Hell as long as you love God and don't do anything diabolically evil.

I'm left handed, as you can tell from my username. i never heard that god hates left handed people before. it sounds like one of those old supersticious or however you spell it, things. like in the olden days they used to say people who had red hair had something to do with the devil. obviously they don't. it's just a hair colour.

Sorry to hear you have had trouble being left handed. i never have. i've never been forced to be right handed at school or anything. I'm hoping to go to art school too eventually. In boxing being left handed is usually considered an advantage.

Ok, thanks guys. I feel alot better now. It just got me a tad scared when I did research on left-handed people.

I hope I didn't offend any Christians out there. I'm really, really sorry if I did.

Also to southpaws96, I've never been discriminated for being left-handed either, but other people who are left-handed have been.
