    All going well :)

    Helloo,

I don't post on here often, I usually just comment...but I wanted to post that things are going pretty well at the moment :)

I've not self harmed for a month now :) and I think I've finally come to terms with the rape. It doesn't weigh on me as much as it used to and I feel happier generally :)

Also, things with my mum seem to be a whole lot better :) so it's all good! And I've got a boyfriend haha...so excited :P

How is everyone? I'm here for you all

    Hey:),

I'm really happy things are going well for you at the moment! It seems like you've been through a lot, and you must have done well to overcome it. A month is a long, long time - you must be so so proud! I'm proud of you and i don't even know you!

Keep strong and never, never give up

(but if you do, remember that tomorrow is a new day)

    Hi Soph :)

Glad you're okay, that makes me happy :)

Thank you for your message, means a lot to me that people on Childline care!

3 days without self harm is still really good though! Eventually it'll get longer and you'll be able to go without it :) I cut for four years every day until February, and I've been relapsing since then, but I'm finally free :) just thought I'd say, because it shows that you will stop, but it will take time.

Thanks again, and I'm always here if you need anything

Hi sorry I didn't see your reply. I need a bit of advice/support if you can.

I relasped but I started again and  I am on my fifth day of not cutting and it has been so so so hard. I have random urges when I'm out and about.

Is it also normal to have mood swings when you are trying not to cut?

I stopped because it's alonly a week till my summer my hols end (I live in Scotland) and I realised that there may be a possiblity of swimming in PE so I'm sort of worrying to much to sh...My scars are really noticable even after 5 days and I doubt they will fade if we do have swimming. Slightly freaking out.

Thanks for replying and I hope your okay. Thanks for reading.

    Hey :)

5 days is really good, keep it up! I know it's hard, but you'll get there. When you're out, do you kee an elastic band on your wrist or something to keep your hands busy to get rid of the urge? Personally I liked using the elastic band...

It's completely normal to have mood swings. Mine used to be huge and I got really irritable all the time when trying not to cut. One minute I'd be laughing with friends and then I'd go into like a state of depression.

Ah swimming...I used to just make up excuses so I didn't have to because people would see my scars. And then I got myself some swimming shorts that came down to my knees.

Hope this helps, stay strong, you're doing great :)

    Thank you for replying!

Yeah I do wear elestic bands around my wrists and they really help a lot. My mood swings are awful and my mum is moody at the moment so we are clashing so it's a pain. :/

Yeah, if we do have swimming, I'll have to make an excuse at least for the first week because my scars are really noticable and girls aren't allowed to wear swimming shorts at our school-just one pieces which is a pain too.

Thank you for replying! On my sixth day and really starting to struggle :/ but coping.

No problem, just want to help :)

I'm glad they help, they used to really help me. I understand that, my mum has had depression for a long time and we used to clash loads...kind of still do, but it's better.

Can't believe you're not allowed to wear shorts :/ I think you should appeal...:P  do your teachers know about your self harm? Maybe this could be a good opportunity to talk to someone about it.

Well done for 6 days! Proud of you :)
