Hi
Thank you for getting in touch with me and telling me about your pregnancy. It sounds like things may not be easy for you at home and you’re wondering what to do next.
You don’t say how you get on with your mum.You have done the right thing to think about what you need to do to take care of yourself and your baby.
You may think about getting in touch with social services about the requirements and possibilities of a mother and baby unit in your area.
Also the Brook Advisory Service may be able to help you with some advice regarding your pregnancy. Their number is 0800 0185 023 and they’re open 9 – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Also the National Youth Advocacy Service could help you with your legal rights on 0800 616101. You could log into www.direct.gov.uk/en/YoungPeople/Money and see what advice this can provide.
Although these are free telephone numbers from landlines I am not sure whether they’re free from your mobile.
Check out Get Connected on 0808 808 4994 (1pm – 11pm every day) as this is free from your mobile and will transfer your call to a helpline or your local social services free of charge.
If you feel that you would just like to talk please ring ChildLine on 0800 1111 or have a 1-2-1 online and speak with a counsellor who may be able to help you further.
Take care
Sam
