Thanks for your letter
You have done the right thing writing to Sam. It sounds as though you’re really frightened of what your mother may say and do if she finds out you’re pregnant.
You don’t say how you get on with your mum normally and who else you live with at home?
It seems as though you need to talk about this to someone close or trust. That person may help support you by being with you when you tell mum so that you’ll feel safe.
You are going to have to be really brave to do this. They may be able to let her know how concerned you are about what will happen to you.
It may be wise to talk to your doctor or ring the Brook Advisory which is an agency that help young people who are pregnant to get some health care for yourself and unborn baby. They’re open 9 – 5pm Monday to Friday and you can call 0800 0185 023 to make an appointment.
I am sure that you are very scared but the sooner you talk to mum or someone the better you will feel.
If you feel you cannot do any of these things come and talk with a ChildLine counsellor by phoning 0800 1111 or log in and have a 1-2-1 chat.
Take care
Sam
