Many years ago it was said that girls had to stay indoors and not do anything when they had their monthly period. These days life goes on as normal and you can do just about everything within reason, if you feel like it.
Lots of girls may feel pretty horrible the first couple of days of their period with tummy pains and headaches. Sometimes gentle exercise can help you feel better on those days just before you start your period. Periods shouldn't stop you doing most energetic activities, so just do what you feel comfortable with.
