Masturbation is something that just about everyone will do, both boys and girls.This can start at any age and it is about you finding out, by touching and exploring your own body in a personal and safe way, what makes you feel good.
It's probably best to masturbate in the privacy of your own bedroom or if unfortunately you have to share with brothers and sisters your own bed is the best place.
If you don't want anyone to know what you are doing, you need to find a time when you know no one else will disturb you. Such as when everyone at home is busy watching television or fast asleep or mum is out shopping.
It is a normal part of growing up it's harmless, no matter how you do it or how often.
