Hi there
Thank you for writing to me. I can hear that you are feeling really upset at the moment and that what is happening is very hurtful for you. It sounds like the bullying is really tough for you and it is making you not want to wear glasses and feel upset about your skin. Please know that no one has the right to treat you like this. Bullying is wrong and what is happening is not your fault. It might help to look at the Bullying section in Explore for more information.
I think you have been very brave to write and tell me about what is going on. I am wondering whether you have told anyone else? Your school has a duty to protect you from bullying and they should have an anti-bullying policy which is like a set of rules explaining what they can do to help someone who is being bullied. I am wondering how you would feel about telling a teacher that you trust about what is happening and maybe asking them what they can do to help you.
You have said that you can’t take this anymore and I can hear that this is really feeling too much for you right now. You deserve to be safe from bullying and I want you to know that ChildLine is here to listen to you. Maybe you could contact a ChildLine counsellor on 0800 1111 or use the 1-2-1 online chat. They are there to support you with how you are feeling and can help you to think about your options.
You might also find it useful to take a look at the ChildLine bullying message board to see other young people’s experiences and advice.
Take care,
Sam
