Hi there
Thank you for writing to me, you have done really well to be so open with me about how you are feeling. It sounds like you have a lot on your mind at the moment and it's leaving you feeling worried, confused and lonely.
You said a lot in your letter about how you are worrying about your exams. It sounds like you are putting lots of pressure on yourself and sometimes this can add to your stress and make it harder to focus on what you are trying to achieve. It's important to try and make time in your life to relax and do some things you enjoy as well as working for your exams.
You also mentioned that your mum sometimes makes you feel as though you are going to fail as well by the way she talks to you. I'm wondering how it would be to let your mum know how she is making you feel. Sometimes it can be hard to talk face to face with people close to us and sometimes young people find it easier to write down how they are feeling in a letter. You have done really well telling me how you feel in this letter, perhaps you could show it to your mum and ask her for the support you need.
In your letter you told me that you lost friends last year and it sounds like this has left you feeling quite lonely and nervous about going back to school. You also mentioned that you were feeling confused about your sexuality, it sounds like there are lots of things on your mind and sometimes a good way to sort things out in your head is to talk to someone you trust.
There is information in the Explore section about Friendships and Sexual orientation which you might find useful. You could also contact ChildLine to talk through these things and try and explore how you are feeling, you can call them on 0800 1111, go online for a 1-2-1 chat or send them an email.
I hope that you have found this letter useful. Good luck with your exams.
Take care,
Sam
