Hello there
Thank you for your letter and for telling me how you're feeling. It sounds as though you are really worried at the moment because you have to leave your school to go to 6th form.
I can see that you have always felt very anxious when you have to leave somewhere and it takes you a long time to settle down. You have said that you now trust the adults at your school and maybe this has helped give you some confidence to take to the new school.
I am wondering if they have any activities that you could join in before you start or if there are any of your friends from school going to the same 6th form? If so I am wondering what it might be like for you to talk to them about how you are feeling?
I am very concerned that you think that you would rather die than face the future. There are people who can support you - you do not have to go through this alone. Do you have someone in your life that you are close to or who you trust that you might feel comfortable speaking to?
You can also get in contact with a ChildLine, as sharing a problem or a worry is really important, and they will always listen to you. It would be good if you could get in touch with a ChildLine counsellor, either through online chat on the website or the freephone helpline 0800 1111. Someone is available to talk to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
There is also a website called Connexions Direct which you could take a look at as it has more information and advice for Young People on all sorts of issues including anxieties around changing and starting schools.
Take care
Sam
