Hi there
Thanks for writing to me. It sounds like you are worried and anxious about starting secondary school. I am sure that there are many young people with exactly the same worries as you at the moment.
Going to secondary school is a really big step for everyone and it's normal to be scared about it. A lot of schools do activities towards the end of term to help you get to know your new school. These might be visiting the new school and meeting some pupils there, which might be something that helps.
I'm wondering if there is anyone you can talk to about how you are feeling? Maybe an adult or even one of your friends, they might be feeling the same way too.
You can always talk to someone here at ChildLine by phoning us on 0800 1111 this is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
You could also have a look at some of the other Ask Sam letters about school, and also on the ChildLine message boards, to see if there are any good ideas there too. Even start a new thread about changing schools.
Good luck
Sam
