I'm 15 and my boyfriend will soon be turning 16, Is it possible we can go abroad alone with out an adult, and just go alone. We have parents permission but we don't know if its possible, is it ?

Hi and thanks for your letter.

Well done on being able to talk to your parents about this.  It’s important to get permission and plan any trip, and to make sure that someone knows where you are and how to contact you at all times.

A lot of travelling conditions depend on the airlines policy however you can get information about your rights and the law from the following websites/helplines.

The National Youth Advocacy Service for England or Wales on 0800 61 61 01 www.nyas.net

If you are in Scotland contact Child Law Centre on 0800 328 8970  http://www.sclc.org.uk/  or in Northern Ireland The Children’s law Centre on 0808 808 5678 www.childrenslawcentre.org/chalky.htm

Take care

Sam
