Hello
You are great just the way you are! People misbehave for different reasons and dealing with those situations can sometimes be part of growing up. Being pretty and popular isn’t going to get you good marks or really good friends that stick by you through thick and thin.
I realise it can be hard feeling like you don’t fit in sometimes. It's understandable that you might want to misbehave because your friends are, and you don’t want to be left out. It’s a difficult situation to be in, but it’s important to think before you act and consider the consequences.
Sometimes friends may need your help – everyone does sometimes and it’s only natural to turn to your friends in that case. If you do feel like they are taking advantage of you somehow then it’s important to say something and try to stand up for yourself.
Of course you should feel proud when a teacher gives you praise – if you are doing well then it’s really great that someone has noticed and said so to you. Those are the things that can help you stay confident and help you know that what you do is good.
Take care
Sam
