Hi there
Thanks so much for writing to me and letting me know what things are like for you at home. It sounds as though you’ve been feeling like your mum doesn’t like you as much as your brother and sisters. This seems like it’s been really difficult and that you’ve felt really hurt and left out. I don’t know what your relationship is like with your family or who else you have in your life that you trust, but what would it be like to talk to someone about what’s been happening and how it’s made you feel?
You’ve said that your teachers tell you off because you don’t manage to get your homework done. I can hear that you try really hard to do your homework but that it’s really difficult for you. I’m wondering if there’s a teacher at school who you feel you could explain things to, so that they could support you and understand what things are like at home?
You’ve told me that your mum doesn’t feed you as much as your brother and sisters. It’s important that you are fed enough to be healthy and well and that you feel cared for. It sounds like you might have more to talk through than you had room to write in your letter. If you’d like to talk more about anything that’s going on, you can talk to ChildLine by calling us on 0800 1111 or have a 1-2-1 chat online with a counsellor. I’m not sure if you’ve spoken to ChildLine before but the counsellors are really friendly and will be happy to talk through anything that you want to say.
Take care,
Sam
