Hi there,
Thanks for your letter. It sounds like there are two things going on for you; there are the things at school and your relationship with your mum.
From what you have told me it sounds like you might not be enjoying school very much at the moment and you feel like they are on your case. ChildLine speaks to lots of young people that are having trouble with school and some find it useful to talk to an adult they trust about how they are feeling. If you choose to talk to someone in your school they may be able to offer you more support with what you are struggling with. It might seem like people are busy and don’t always have time to talk to you but the staff at school are there to care for you and listening to how you are feeling is part of that.
You talk about your mum being sick of hearing from your school and it sounds like it hurts you to hear your mum say you were a mistake. It seems like you really care about your mum, perhaps you could explain to her a bit more about what is going on for you at school to help her to understand and support you.
It sounds like you might find it hard to talk about how you feel and you have done really well explaining it to me. You might find it helpful when you are talking to your mum or another adult to write down what you want to say or show them what you have written to me.
You can always come and talk to a Counseller at ChildLine about how you are feeling, either online in a 1-2-1 chat, send an email or phone free on 0800 1111.
Take care
Sam
