Hi and thanks for your letter.
Can I first of all say well done for getting into music college. Despite all your responsibilities at home you must have worked really hard and are clearly very good.
There is help and support for young carers and and I will give you some contacts. I am wondering too what help and support if any is your dad able to give? Your mum could get help if she speaks up at the school your twin sister attends.
Children and young people suffering with cerebral palsy and those that care for them can be offered help. But you do have to speak up and ask. It sounds as though you are doing a marvellous job, but as you say you do need to have a life and by the sounds of it, it could be a pretty successful one musically.
You could think about coming and having an online 1-2-1 chat with a counsellor who could talk things through with you. You can also phone us on 0800 1111 anytime you want to talk.
Have a look at these web sites which will offer information and support to both you and mum www.youngcarers.net www.barnardos.org.uk or www.nhs.uk/conditions/cerebral-palsy and www.direct.gov.uk
I hope this helps and good luck with the music.
Sam
