Hi there
Thanks for getting in touch with me about these things that are going on with you and your mom – it sounds like it’s really difficult for you at the moment. It must be very hard to feel that your mom doesn’t want you or love you any more. You did the right thing by contacting me about it, so well done for that.
I wonder if you’ve told your mom that you feel as though she doesn’t love you anymore? Perhaps you could have a think about what would happen if you sat down and calmly talked it over with her, explaining how you feel and listening to how she feels. Or, if that feels like it would be too hard, you could think about writing her a letter to explain your feelings.
Sometimes, it can be difficult to find the right words to say when you need to have a conversation with someone about something personal. Talking or having a 1-2-1 online chat with a ChildLine counsellor can give you an opportunity to try out different things you could say, and also think about what might happen when you say them.
If you’d ever like to talk some more about what’s going on with your mom and step-dad, or about your feelings, you are always free to contact ChildLine, either by calling on 0800 1111, or you could email, or have a 1-2-1 online chat via the website. There are always counsellors there who can listen to you and try to support you in the best way they can.
Take care
Sam
