Hi there
Thanks for your letter. I think you have been really brave telling me how you have been feeling since joining your secondary school. It can be very difficult trying to make new friends and fit in to a new school and it sounds like you are feeling really lonely. You have said your friends hang around in a big group and that makes it hard for you to hang out with them. Perhaps it might be easier to mention this to one of your friends, then maybe they could find a way to help bring you into the group.
What the girls at school are doing to you is a type of bullying and nobody has a right to bully you. I know you said there are no adults that you trust to talk to at school about this but maybe you could talk this over with a friend as your school have a duty to protect you.
It sounds like you are spending quite a lot of time feeling lonely. You have said that your old friends support you when you talk to them on the phone. Maybe you could talk to them about how you have been feeling and ask them for some ideas of how to feel less lonely. You might like to have a look at the ChildLine message board about Loneliness where other young people have shared how they feel.
I want you to know if you would like to talk more about this, or anything else, you can always contact ChildLine for support. You can call a counsellor free on 0800 1111, or sign up for an account and send them an email or have an online chat.
Take care
Sam
