Hi there.
It is very likely that other people in your year are feeling the same way, so you won't be alone feeling like this. Teachers should also understand this and are there to talk to.
It might be an idea to think about talking to a teacher about how you are feeling. They should support you and help come up with a plan to get you through things.
You talk about your parents and say you feel that they don’t care, but you haven’t said what makes you feel this way. If you feel comfortable talking to them, think about telling them how you feel or you could write it down and give it to one of them in a letter.
It’s good that you have a close friend though it must be hard to have her living so far away. Maybe you could keep in contact by email and text. Even try and arrange to meet up one weekend.
Making new friends isn't always the easiest thing to do, but set yourself a goal of talking to one person in your class this week. You could end up talking to someone you really like and a friendship could begin. Joining youth clubs or sport clubs can also be a good way of meeting new friends.
I'm interested to know what makes you feel you need to please people. There shouldn’t be any pressure on you to do this at the moment, the most important thing is to be looking after yourself.
Why don't you come and talk with a ChildLine counsellor by calling 0800 1111 or logging on to a 1-2-1 chat?
You can also share experiences and ideas with other young people on the ChildLine message board.
I hope this has been of some help
Sam
