Hi thanks for your letter.
It's really good that you have written to me about your anger worries. We all experience different types of emotions, such as being happy or sad. Anger is an emotion too and it's important to remember that feeling angry is ok.
How we show anger can be both scary to other people and ourselves if we can't control this really strong emotion. When we can’t control the way we express how we're feeling, this can end up causing us lots of problems with family, friends and even at school.
You mentioned that you're in Year 8 and I'm guessing that you might be around 11 or 12 years old. This can be a time when lots of things are changing, such as body and hormone changes as you go through puberty. It can lead to mixed feelings and emotions about things going on in your life.
There are some good things you could try that may help you take more control over how you express your feelings of anger. Have a look at the balloon game, this is really good to relax with. Other things to do when feeling angry could be to go for a run or kick a ball really hard against a wall.
It is important to talk to someone about how you are feeling. If you feel you can't talk to a teacher or your mum or dad, come and talk to ChildLine either by phone on 0800 1111 or have an online 1-2-1 chat.
Hope this helps and give the tips a go.
Sam
