Hi there
It sounds like there is a lot going on for you at home and that you are feeling quite hassled and under pressure. You talk about self harm and running away from home, and it sounds as though you are finding everything really hard to cope with and are looking for some ways out.
Lots of young people find that these are ways of getting them through tough times in life. It worries me to hear that you feel like you have had enough of life. If you are feeling suicidal it’s really important that you try and talk to someone about what’s happening.
I’m glad to read that you were able to talk to your form tutor, and to tell her some things that have been happening. There are some things that teachers aren’t able to keep to themselves, so maybe you could ask her to be really clear about this. You can then decide what you want to tell her in the future.
Maybe you could think about coming and talking with a ChildLine counsellor by either calling us on 0800 1111 or sign in to have an online 1-2-1 chat. This might be something that would help you get through the holidays.
You can also put a message on the ChildLine message boards and see if any other young people can give you some advice.
The law about parents hitting their children says that they can if it’s 'reasonable'. However ChildLine doesn't think it's ok for adults to hit children and young people.
A good website to have a look at to explain it more is www.childrenslegalcentre.com by typing 'smacking' in the search box.
I really hope this helps and please make contact with ChildLine.
Take Care
Sam
