Hi there
Thank you for your letter and for sharing how you're feeling - it sounds like you have a lot going on in your life at the moment.
I know it can be difficult when someone in your house needs extra care and it’s really nice that you are able to help out, however it’s important that you are able to talk about your feelings and how much you feel you can do.
You mention that your family are really kind, how would it feel to talk to mum about your feelings and maybe ask her to get your brother to help out a bit more, especially around your 11+? You could also check out the ChildLine message boards where there is a section for young carers. You can see what other young people who are in similar situations have to say, and how they de-stress and make themselves feel better. If you want to join the discussions and post messages then sign up for a ChildLine account.
If you'd like to explore your sad feeling more, you can always contact ChildLine and speak to a counsellor, who is there to listen to you and support you. You can talk to ChildLine anytime, either through 1-2-1 chat online or by phoning 0800 1111.
Take care
Sam
