Hi there
Thanks for your message and for telling me about what things are like for you at the moment.
It sounds like you are feeling stressed at the moment about your GCSE exams and it’s having an effect on your personal life. Lots of young people find it hard to cope with the pressures of doing exams and you are not alone. You might find it helpful to write out an exam revision timetable to help you to organise the work you want to get through. It is also important to remember to make time to chill out and relax, so perhaps you could put this in the timetable as well.
You might also find it useful to look at the Beat exam stress page in the Explore section. The page has information and advice about exams and exam stress and will also lead you to the message boards where other young people have posted messages about this topic. Another site you might find useful is BBC Bitesize which has tips on revision and preparing for exams.
You say that you have some family members that are very ill. It sounds like you have a lot to think about and you are right to try and seek support for this.
I can also hear that school is stressful as you are getting bullied. No one should have to put up with being bullied no matter what. I can hear that you would like to talk to someone about what’s going on for you but you’re worried that you may be judged. It’s really brave that you are trying to find other ways to support yourself and that you have stopped self harming.
ChildLine counsellors never judge young people and would be able to offer you support around the different things that you are going through. They could also talk through some different ways of coping. You could contact a ChildLine counsellor through chat or email from the website or on the free phone number 0800 1111.
I hope that you have found this information useful and that you will reach out and get the support you deserve.
Take care
Sam
