Hi
Thanks for sending in your letter and telling me how you have been feeling. It's really good that you have already shared your worries and feelings with an adult at school. Talking to someone else can be a big help.
Feeling depressed can be very confusing and sometimes seem to have no real cause. I can see it's making you feel frustrated. You say that you self harm and have tried killing yourself. Suicid is not an answer to your problems, I'm pleased that you want to find safer ways of coping with your feelings.
Have you ever tried using the Mood Tracker in Your Locker? It can help you keep a record of how you’re feeling. If you feel able, you could share this with someone who wants to listen to you. That somebody might be an adult you trust at school or perhaps a counsellor at ChildLine.
Talking to someone you trust can be a way of discovering together safe ways to cope. You do not have to solve it all yourself. Just describing how you are feeling will help someone listen to you.
A ChildLine counsellor will listen to you and give you time to explore how you are feeling. They won’t expect you to have all of the answers. They won’t judge you.
You can talk to a ChildLine counsellor by phone on 0800 1111 or online.
Keep safe.
Sam
